We have been lucky that we have been healthy this winter, but when you have small kids you know that it is only a matter of time before everyone gets sick. On Sunday Oliver was the first to get a horrible cold and by Monday the whole family had it. We still made the best of it and tried to find fun things to do around the house. I hung a mirror we had sitting in our basement in the kids play area. The boys have been having fun looking at their outfits and practicing their dance moves in it. I also caught Arlo making the funniest face. It is my favorite when he makes this face! By Thursday we had been inside 4 days straight and I was so happy we were starting to feel better. I had high hopes for Friday. I couldn't wait to get out to do some errands while Ollie was in school and then my dad was going to visit in the afternoon. I guess mother nature had other plans for us because we were snowed in! We got 39 cm of snow yesterday!! Oliver was happy that he didn't have to spend the morning at school, but he lost it and started crying when he realized Grandpa Kim wouldn't be able to visit. Day 5 of being stuck inside started out terrible. We were all grumpy and suffering from a bad case of cabin fever. By mid afternoon we decided to make the best of it and started to have some fun. It's not very often that we get a snowfall like this! Oliver had fun playing in the backyard while Arlo napped and by suppertime everyone was in a good mood. We finished the night with a wild dance party and lots of laughs. If I am going to be stuck inside for 5 days straight, I'm glad it's with my crazy family.
He may make a mess when he eats, but he sure is cute.
Snow mountains outside and laundry mountains inside.
Yee Haw!
